Jordan Wednesday condemned Israel's destroying of two mosques in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

In a press conference Wednesday, Jordan's Minister of State for Communications and Media Affairs Nabil Sharif said Jordan " strongly" condemns the burning of a mosque in Nablus by Jewish settlers on Tuesday and destroying another in Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces.

"These attacks are in violation of the international and humanitarian law and a stark violation of the freedom of worship," said the minister, adding that these attacks are in violation of Israel's commitments as an occupation force in the Palestinian territories.

These commitments entail that Israel ensure freedom of worshiping and not to breach the sanctity of worshiping places, said the minister.

The minister said these attacks are absolutely rejected and condemned by Jordan, which constantly condemns all provocative Israeli measures in the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to Palestinian officials, Israeli forces leveled the Al-Dahniya mosque in Gaza Strip early Tuesday and a fire broke out Tuesday and burnt a mosque in Luban Al Sharqiya village in Nablus.
